Physio Kinesiotherapy and Massage

Casa Raphael offers courses or single sessions of rehabilitation and physio kinesiotherapy, from Monday to Saturday, in a specially dedicated room or in our heated indoor pool.

Physio Kinesitherapy

Physio Kinesiotherapy is the therapeutic treatment of illness through active and passive muscle movements. It plays a key role in motor and functional rehabilitation.

The process involves a multidisciplinary approach by a team of experts that includes the doctor, for the fundamental preliminary pathological assessment, the nurse, the physiotherapist, the posturologist, the masseur and, in certain cases, also the osteopath.

The rehab does not end at our facilities, but continues afterwards with useful home exercises that are taught during the sessions.

Who can benefit?

Physio Kinesiotherapy is indicated for everyone, but in particular for those who have experienced neurological events (stroke or hemorrhage), cardiac events, neurodegenerative diseases, traumas, surgery or prosthetic implants, age-related pathologies, or even simple alteration of muscular and skeletal ratios resulting from bad posture.

It is the nature of the pathology that determines the type of rehabilitation: we offer a pathway adapted to the specific needs of the person.

The objective is to bring the patient to the best possible level of autonomy on a physical, functional, social, intellectual and relational level, with the least restriction of his/her operational choices and a clear improvement in quality of life.

Physio Kinesiotherapy is also well complemented by the following rehabilitation approaches and techniques:

Massotherapy

A practitioner manipulates the body's soft tissues - muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and skin - through varying degrees of pressure and movement. This relieves pain and increases the elasticity of the tissues, resulting in improved functional-motor rehabilitation.

Available Massages: classic, relaxing, lymph-draining, shiatsu, rhythmic - and scrubs.

Each massage is customized according to the doctor's instructions, given directly to the masseur after the admission medical examination.

Postural rehabilitation

This is a physiotherapeutic technique that corrects a person's posture. It is based on a gentle and progressive method and can therefore be applied to patients of any age, respecting the abilities of each individual.

Osteopathy

A holistic approach to rehabilitation, used for both prevention and treatment of a range of disorders. It is performed manually through contact between the practitioner and the patient, without the use of equipment, drugs or interventions.
